Because they’re selling themselves, and the fitness industry is all about taking your money. If this industry suddenly became about clients and their needs, then fitness would be boring.

That’s because it is boring. Being fit isn’t about how much money you spend or enjoying music or even looking better. It’s about trying, and accomplishing. It’s about the empowering feelings that come from knowing you can do things you previously couldn’t. Yes, you’ll naturally lose weight, but telling you I’ll help you lose weight isn’t so special. You can take a pill, buy a video, or go on a ridiculous diet if it’s all about losing weight. Having control over your body, that’s much different.
I train individuals to be their best and try their best. My clients are taught to bring heightened focus and integrity to their workouts, which eliminates some of the silly, unnecessary things that keep us from seeing our goals. Eventually, clients realize that fitness is all about the approach, and much less about the rigid system someone is selling.
